PhD in Computer Science with specialization in Machine Learning. Experience leading Artificial Intelligence projects in Healthcare.
I studied a double computer science-mathematics program at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and, later, a double master's degree in Computational Intelligence and Applied Mathematics. It was at that time when I first heard about the fields of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, which led me to embark on a PhD Program in Computer Science focused on these techniques.
At the same time, I became a freelancer, which has allowed me to collaborate for more than 10 years in different companies and projects, from airlines such as Iberia Express, to small companies and medical startups based at MIT.
In 2018 I chose to focus my career in the healthcare field, since creating applications in healthcare has always been my goal at a working level. During those years I was director of the Machine Learning Area at Sigesa, a company with extensive experience in the development of applications for healthcare management, and I completed a master's degree in biostatistics and computational biology at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.
Finally, in 2022 I decided to start my own company, Horus ML, looking to create a structure that would give me the opportunity to carry out innovative Machine Learning projects, focused on the clinical care setting, that would have a real impact on clinical practice.
